The Portuguese star was named the Saudi Professional League’s player of the month for February.

Ronaldo has played just a handful of games, but has scored eight goals in those five appearances, meaning he is only five behind his teammate Talisca (13) who is the top scorer in the division.

It may not be long at all before the former Manchester United player catches up.

In his last two games alone, the former Real Madrid forward has notched up seven goals and two assists.

He also got a goal on his debut, which kicked off what has been a very respectable first month for CR7 at Al Nassr.

Spanish coach wins monthly award

Meanwhile, the manager of the month award for February has gone to Spaniard Vicente Moreno.

The former Mallorca and Espanyol coach is currently in charge of Al Shabab and this is his third manager of the month award this season.

Brazilian shot-stopper Marcelo Grohe, 36, formerly of Gremio and twice capped by his country, won the award for best goalkeeper of the month. He represents Al-Ittihad and has done since 2019.
