The Tottenham winger is set to leave the club this summer on a free when his contract expires.

At that point, he will become a free agent, meaning any club can sign him for nothing – but Moura’s surprising demands have now been revealed.

The Brazilian believes this is his last chance for a big-money contract and so is believed to want a three-year deal.

Lucas is also asking for an £8.8million signing-on fee and agent’s commission to be spread across the duration of his contract, according to Goal Brazil.

The 35-cap international is understood to want to remain in Europe for the next step of his career, rather than move back to his native Brazil.

His former side Sao Paulo are said to be unwilling to splash out on bringing Lucas back to Morumbi given their financial problems.

The 30-year-old is understood to have offers from other clubs in the Premier League, MLS, Italy and Qatar.

Of these options, he is believed to prefer England or Italy, though he would consider America or Qatar if they pay the requisite amount.

In talks with Sao Paulo president Julio Casares, Lucas indicated he would like to return to the club at some point, even if it were not possible in the summer.

He has been out of favour in north London this season, only playing four minutes across three games since October, and just 12 in all competitions this season, recording no goals or assists.
