Dybala joined Roma on a free transfer last year after leaving Juventus, but according to Sport due to a release clause foreign clubs can sign him for £10.7million, while Italian sides would have to pay £17.6million.

That could lead to United reigniting their interest in Dybala as they look to bolster their attacking options.

So far this season Dybala has scored 10 goals in 20 appearances for Roma across all competitions.

United are looking to significantly bolster their attack this summer following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Wout Weghorst was brought in on loan from Burnley, but Dybala, who usually operates just behind the main forward, would represent more of a long term option.

Dybala possesses plenty of experience from his time at Juventus, with whom he won five consecutive Serie A titles.

United have been linked with a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who could cost £107m.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, whose contract expires in 2024, is also seen as a potential option for United.
