Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says he’s happy with his squad.
Ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Valencia, Ancelotti was asked why they weren’t active during the winter market.
He said, “We didn’t need it. If you plan well, you don’t need to enter the winter market. Entering this market means there have been injuries but we thought it was not necessary to intervene in the winter market.”
On trailing leaders Barcelona, he also said: “We are not doing well. I think we have made something wrong and we can always do better. We are having the rhythm of last year and Barcelona are doing better.
“We are very confident that we can fight until the end. We have improved and we are reaching a very good level to fight in all competitions. The squad is beginning to be very good. We have come out of the month of January quite well and now the good part is about to come for us”.
“We’re good at the back because we’re covered with players like Nacho who can play in many positions and that’s helping us improve.”
