Roman Abramovich has had no access to the money raised from Chelsea’s sale.

The Russian billionaire was forced to sell Chelsea by the UK government in reaction to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

American Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought Chelsea last year for £4.25bn.

And Abramovich’s press office has declared he has no access to the funds raised.

“Mr. Abramovich does not have access to these funds and does not participate in the process of their distribution,” said his press officer to TASS.
