Fans have taken to social media to criticise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his dismal performance on Thursday evening.

Aubameyang started Chelsea’s tie against Manchester City on the bench but was introduced game after five minutes when Raheem Sterling was forced off injured.

However, Graham potter was less than impressed with the 33-year-old and decided to replace him with Omari Hutchinson in the second half.

Fans were quick to react to Potter’s decision, with many claiming Aubameyang’s career was well and truly over.

One fan wrote: ‘Been coming to be fair. Chelsea basically playing with 10 men with Aubameyang.’ Another one added: ‘Aubameyang should announce his retirement from football biko.’

While one fan said:  ‘This Aubameyang’s career is over man, brought on as a sub and hooked when his team needs a goal’.
