Egyptian national team skipper and Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah opened up about his ambitions during this season.

Salah is having the time of his life with Liverpool as he’s competing for a number of group and individual trophies this season.

The Reds are in the top four of the UEFA Champions League as they will be clashing with La Liga’s Villarreal for a spot in the final.

They are also one point behind Manchester City on the Premier League table and any draw or defeat for the Citizens could gift Liverpool the title.

Salah has been an integral part of both journies so far, having scored 30 goals and provided 13 assists in 41 appearances across both competitions.

On the individual level, he’s currently leading the Premier League goal-scoring and assists charts with 22 goals and 13 assists.

Speaking about his goals with the team, Salah stated that the UEFA Champions League is always his priority but he also wants to win the Premier League.

“I want to have the feeling again that we had after winning the Champions League,” said Salah, quoted in the club’s official matchday programme.

“It was unbelievable and in my mind that’s why I want to win it again with Liverpool.

“The feeling we had in the city when we went on the bus and toured was unbelievable.

“The Premier League was kind of different because it was not done [due to COVID-19 restrictions], but I want to win the Champions League again and I want to win the Premier League again.

“That is my target with the team right now.”

When asked if he thinks he’d improved this year, Salah answered: “In my first season it was also 10 assists, so I’m always trying to score goals and give assists.

“That is always my game and this season I feel a lot of improvement with the ball, but I go back to what I said before. The most important thing is to help this team win trophies and I am trying to help to do that.”
