Graham Potter’s side secured a much-needed in with pressure mounting on their manager, with defender Wesley Fofana scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over relegation-threatened leads.

Chelsea edged a tense opening 45 minutes, although muted boos still rang out at the whistle, despite Kai Havertz having the best chance of the half in drawing a good stop out of Illan Meslier.

But Fofana broke the deadlock with a fine header in the 53rd minute, meeting a good out-swinging corner from left wing-back Ben Chilwell to power his side into the lead.
