PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi (24) will miss the upcoming Ligue 1 game against Lille on Sunday, according to a report from Le Parisien. PSG can’t seem to catch a break right now – The Moroccan was subbed off on Tuesday during Les Parisiens’ loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in their Champions League last 16 first leg, their third defeat in a row. After an underwhelming display against the Bavarians, the 2022 World Cup semi-finalist was replaced at half-time by centre-back Presnel Kimpembe (27) with Marquinhos (28) slotting in the right-back position.

Hakimi was suffering from thigh pain and could not cope with the intensity of the tie. Hakimi now needs to rest and PSG have scheduled a recovery program for him to follow, making him unavailable for the game on Sunday against Les Dogues. Because the Moroccan is not suffering from any strain, PSG are rather optimistic on his chances to feature for the hugely-anticipated Classique against arch-rivals Marseille on February 26th.
