Ivan Toney dedicated his celebration to team-mate Sergi Canos after his Brentford team-mate’s mother passed away earlier this week.

Toney scored the equaliser against Arsenal in an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium – after his side went behind through a Leandro Trossard goal.

Following the 26-year-old’s header, the Brentford players ran towards their bench where they all gathered round their goalscorer.

The England striker then held up a Brentford shirt with the words ‘we are all with you Sergi’ written on it, as well as a love heart.

Canos went on-loan in the January transfer window to Greek side Olympiacos – after being at Brentford permanently since 2017.

Brentford were on top for much of the game against Arsenal and missed two golden opportunities to take the lead in the first-half.

Mikel Arteta’s side were much improved following the break and took the lead with Trossard turning in a Bukayo Saka low-cross.

Toney then stooped to head home an equaliser into a vacant net to earn Brentford a point away from home.

Brentford pride themselves for their togetherness on the pitch and Toney’s celebration shows the West London club are just as united outside of football.

Thomas Frank’s side host Crystal Palace in their next fixture as they look to make it 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League.
