Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is is reportedly headed for the Anfield exit door in the summer.

His contract expires at the end of the current season and Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claims he is unlikely to sign a new one.

A number of clubs are said to be interested in his services with Germany looking a possible destination.

Keita joined the Reds from RB Leipzig for £48m in the summer of 2018 but has seen his role in the team dwindle.

He has made just two Premier League starts this season, largely due to a hamstring injury.

Liverpool are clearly in need of a big rebuild after what has been a bitterly disappointing campaign.

That is set to begin in the summer and Keita could be one of many to make way.

Jurgen Klopp’s team sit 10th in the Premier League with just eight wins from 20 matches.

They next face local rivals Everton at Anfield on February 13.
