The European Football Association (UEFA), has confirmed the date, venue and time for the Super Cup final match between the English side, Chelsea, and the Spanish side, Villarreal.

In case you do not know the play format of the UEFA Super Cup, I would explain. The UEFA Super Cup is a single legged match between two champions which are, the UEFA Champions League winners and the UEFA Europa League winners.

Recall that Chelsea defeated Manchester City in Portugal on the 29th of May, 2021, to win the Champions League, while Manchester United were defeated by Villarreal to lift the Europa cup.

After much deliberations, UEFA has made it known that the UEFA Super Cup finals will be played in Belfast, at Windsor Park on the 11th of August, 2021 by 8:00PM.

So, it is now official that the game would be played on the 11th of August, 2021, in Belfast at Windsor Park.

There would be a new champion as Bayern Munich, who won it last year after beating Sevilla by 2 goals to 1, could not defend the title.
