Dejan Kuluesevski admits getting off to a positive start was crucial to making his Tottenham move a success.

The Swede joined Spurs on-loan in January from Juventus.

He recalled to Aftonbladet: “It helped me a lot to have scored after three minutes in the debut game against City, my season changed there.

“I will never forget that game… We were away and they at Etihad had won like 15 games in a row and all with five to six goals… We go there and win, with assists.

“After that game I thought nobody was authorised to tell me anything anymore, I know who I am and what I can do, what others think is not important.”
