Agent Stijn Francis says Fiorentina may choose to keep hold of Sofyan Amrabat.
The Morocco World Cup star is being linked with a big money move to Tottenham and Liverpool.
But Francis has questioned whether the Viola will get value for money in January.
“The timing is unfortunate,” says Francis. “On January 1, the transfer market will open, but you will not see the big deals during the winter mercato.
“Now the budgets have already been drawn up and the core squads filled. In the summer, the clubs spend much more on transfers. But by then the World Cup will already be forgotten.”
