One of the players to make a name for themselves at the World Cup in Qatar is the Croatian right-back Josip Juranovic, who plays his club football in Scotland with Celtic.

He impressed in Croatia’s run to the semifinal. He is a classic full-back, powerful, good in defence above all but also able to get forward and support the attack.

According to ‘Tuttomercato web’, both Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona are following in the player’s situation. For now, though, Juranovic is just of interest, nothing more.

He has a contract in Glasgow until 2026 and a market value o €6.5 million, per Transfermarkt.

Atleti have Nahuel Molina at right-back but he has not convinced coach Diego Simeone in the first part of the season, although he has done well for Argentina at the World Cup.

Marcos Llorente has also played there, but it is not his natural position.

At Barça, Hector Bellerín hasn’t had good performances either, so Xavi has often had to use Jules Koundé out of his natural position with Sergi Roberto injured.
