Manchester United are ‘seriously considering’ Bayern Munich’s Eric Choupo-Moting as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo next summer.

Choupo-Moting, who has played for both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich since leaving Stoke in 2018, is now reportedly on the radar of another European giant, as his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The Cameroonian has broken into Julian Nagelsmann’s side in recent weeks, scoring three and assisting two in Bayern Munich’s last three matches against Freiburg, Hoffenheim and Mainz.
He has also netted three goals in the Champions League so far this season, scoring Bayern’s second against Inter on Tuesday.
According to French outlet Media Foot, Erik ten Hag admires Choupo-Moting’s versatility and experience and is very interested by the prospect of luring the striker to Old Trafford next summer.
Ronaldo, who made his fairytale return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021, expressed his desire to exit the club this pre-season in the pursuit of Champions League football.

Although Bayern Munich and Chelsea were linked with the Portuguese superstar, no suitable bids were made and Ronaldo has since had to settle for a regular spot on Ten Hag’s bench.
The Dutch coach, who likes his players to press from the front, dropped the 37-year-old after a dismal start to the season and has since managed to elevate Manchester United to fifth spot in the table, eight points behind league leaders Arsenal.
Ronaldo started back-to-back games for the first time since August against West Ham last weekend.
Ten Hag’s side travel to Spain for their Europa League clash against Real Sociedad on Thursday and must win by two clear goals should they wish to top the group.
