AC Milan are ahead of Barcelona in the Bosman battle for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
The Italy international is off contract at the end of the season and free to commit to pre-contract terms with any foreign club from January 1.
Sport says Milan and Barca are in contact with Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos.
However, it’s suggested the Rossonero lead the race for the midfielder’s signature, thanks to Barca’s need to reduce their wage bill and also Italian football’s tax system.
But Barca still have hope of convincing Jorginho to choose them over a return to Italy next summer.
