Patrice Evra has admitted he would rather Antonio Conte be Manchester United manager than Erik ten Hag.

United faced Tottenham in the Premier League this evening, with Evra working as a pundit for Amazon Prime Video, and the broadcast team were on the pitch presenting the show in the build-up to kick off.
Evra, who made over 350 appearances for United as a player, said he ‘really wishes’ Spurs boss Conte managed Tottenham, with the North London side able to go one point off Premier League leaders Arsenal with a win at Old Trafford.

‘I really wish he was the United manager, but now we have ten Hag,’ Evra said.
‘Arsenal fans need to worry, because Antonio is in the house.’
Conte has transformed Tottenham since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo last season, with several believing he has made them genuine title contenders.

They are likely to be in a battle with rivals Arsenal, as well as Manchester City, if they want to do so.
Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry, also working a a pundit on the game, reluctantly agreed with Evra’s view that Arsenal will come under pressure from Tottenham this year.
‘I got worried twice about Tottenham doing well, the first time I heard him [Conte] say he doesn’t care about Arsenal, he was concentrating on his team,’ Henry said.

‘I know when Antonio goes somewhere it is to deliver something and, this is weird, but he usually delivers a title. We are top at the minute but it looks like they are onto something.
‘What I like with his is he usually arrives where a lot of the payers never won a title and they listen to him, after the second year they start not to listen but up until then they will do well unfortunately.’
Arsenal’s top-of-the-table clash against Manchester City this week is postponed due to the Gunners’ European involvement.
