Martin Dubravka wants Newcastle to soften their stance and allow him his dream move to Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club turned to Dubravka last week after being quoted £21m for Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp.
The 33-year-old Slovakia international was left out of Newcastle’s midweek Carabao Cup win over Tranmere after officially being declared ‘ill’ as talks picked up between the two clubs.

United have asked to take the 33-year-old on loan with an option to buy but Newcastle are insisting they want a straight sale for £5million.
Dubravka, who cost Newcastle £4.2m in 2018, has gone on to make over 130 appearances and been one of their most consistent performers, twice being named player of the year, yet he is now resigned to being understudy to England’s Nick Pope who was signed for £10m from Burnley.
Newcastle want to recoup their cash now but Dubravka fears their stance could cost him his move to Manchester and hopes they relent to accept the loan with option.
Newcastle had discussed the possibility of signing Scott McTominay on loan from United but that has been rebuffed with the Scotland international still part of Erik ten Hag’s plans. Newcastle are now evaluating other options.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are exploring a deal for West Ham right-back Harrison Ashby.
The 20-year-old started in West Ham’s Europa Conference League win against Viborg earlier this month and has been tipped for a bright future making a handful of first team appearances over the past two seasons.
David Moyes has promoted the Scotland U21 international to his first team squad this season but Newcastle will see if a £2.5million offer will tempt West Ham to sell.
