Serie A giants Juventus have registered an interest in signing Barcelona star Memphis Depay during the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Dutch international has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp following the arrival of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.

Juventus will face stiff competition from Leeds and Manchester United in the transfer race to sign Depay this summer.

Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Lewandowski and Raphinha. They have also renewed Ousmane Dembele’s contract.

Therefore, Depay could be at risk of falling further down the pecking order under Xavi – despite being Barcelona’s top goal scorer last term.

The 28-year-old former Lyon forward found the back of the net 12 times during the 2021-2022 LaLiga season.

However, La Blaugrana are still prepared to offload Depay during the summer transfer window – according to Football Espana.

Xavi does not see Depay as a part of his plans for the 2022-2023 campaign and has reportedly told the forward to leave or face sitting on the bench next term.

Juve are hoping Depay will move to Turin, but they face stiff competition from both Newcastle and Manchester United.

However, the Serie A giants might have an advantage over the Premier League clubs as Depay is reluctant to return to the English top-flight.

Depay joined United in 2015 after a successful season in the Eredivisie, finishing top scorer for PSV Eindhoven with 22 goals in 30 appearances.

Great things were expected of the 21-year-old. But, he lasted just 18 months at Old Trafford before he was sold to Lyon for an initial £16m.

During his time at United, Depay scored just seven goals in 53 appearances in all competitions.
