Barcelona are willing to sell Memphis Depay to fund a move for Leeds winger Raphinha, according to reports in Spain.

The Dutch forward fell down the pecking order in the second-half of last season due to injuries and January signings made by the club.

Depay has this week been told he’s no longer part of Xavi’s plans for next season as reported by Marca.

The Catalan club are seeking to recieve £21.5million (€25m) for the 28-year-old and they would use that to boost their bid to sign Raphinha.

In a recent Twitter post, Depay is thought to have reacted to his situation at the club as he wrote: ‘I see how certain tactics been played around me as a football player. It’s all good, God like this about me.. that’s why im favored.

‘My whole life i wasn’t good enough, didn’t apply to the standard looks and didn’t have the right behavior That’s what happens when you live freely.’

The likes of Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Abde are seen as alternatives to Depay as the club wait on a decision from Ousmane Dembele, who has been offered a new deal.

Depay is thought to be keen to stay at the club but there is no turning back by Barcelona and their decision is final.

As reported by Sportsmail, Barcelona made a late bid for Raphinha but their proposal still fell short of Chelsea’s accepted £60m offer.

Raphinha’s agent Deco is holding out to see if Barcelona can release more funds following the £229million injection from investment firm Sixth Street for 10 per cent of the club’s TV rights for the next 25 years.

Since joining from Lyon at the the end of his contract last summer, Depay has scored 12 goals in 28 LaLiga appearances.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are on the verge of completing the signings of former Chelsea defender Christiansen as well as midfielder Franck Kessie.
