The contract of the Brazilian Neymar da Silva, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, will extend for another season within the ranks of the Parisian club, according to a press report.

The Italian “Toto Mercato” website stated that by tomorrow, Friday, July 1, 2022, the clause for the automatic renewal of Neymar’s contract with Saint Germain will enter into force.

The site added that this clause would allow Neymar to extend his contract, until the summer of 2027.

Neymar joined Barcelona in the summer of 2013, before leaving in 2017 for Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar’s current contract with the French club was activated in July 2021, to expire in 2026, with an automatic extension clause until the summer of 2027.

This comes amid news of PSG’s desire to get rid of Neymar, in the framework of the current summer Mercato
