Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a swoop for Manchester United defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot this summer.

The Portuguese manager is keen to bolster his defensive options and push towards a top four finish in Serie A next season, having brought Roma a first European trophy in their history last week.

Although Dutch international Rick Karsorp emerged a key player for Roma last campaign, Mourinho is reportedly in the market for a right-back, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles due to return to Arsenal following a disappointing loan spell in the Italian capital.

Roma are keen to attract Wan-Bissaka to the Italian capital next season and Manchester United value the defender at €30 million, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper claimed that Roma would only be interested in recruiting Wan-Bissaka on loan with an option to buy in the future.

The 24-year-old joined the Red Devils in July 2019 for £50 million but has struggled for regular minutes since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure from Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka is reportedly one of the players permitted to exit the club this summer, alongside defensive teammate Eric Bailly.

However, Italian reports also hint that Dalot could instead team up with Mourinho at Roma and fill the void at right-back, according to sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Portuguese full-back, who is no stranger to Serie A having enjoyed a loan spell with Milan in 2020-21, is reportedly valued at €15 million by Manchester United.

Away from Old Trafford, Mourinho is believed to be interested in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Henrichs as well as 29-year-old Sampdoria full-back Bartosz Bereszynski.
