Romelu Lukaku did not feature in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Everton in the 35th round of the Premier League. Former Manchester City and Chelsea player Sinclair spoke on the programme.

“With regard to Lukaku, the real problem is very serious. I think with ten minutes to go the team needs to score and we have a player who has scored a lot of goals and who has had a good feeling at the club, it’s ridiculous not to play him. You should give him 10 or 15 minutes and try to change the game.”
“Especially with the game over and a cross in the box and leaving him on the bench, I was surprised.
“Obviously Chelsea paid a lot of money to bring him back to the club and there was one performance a couple of weeks ago that showed how hard Lukaku was working and adapting to the game and it got him a lot of attention.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave Chelsea but I think Chelsea will obviously want to get a lot of money back. It would be more fitting for him to go back to a club like Inter, where he is enjoying his football and scoring a lot of goals.
