Super Eagles Interim manager Austine Eguavoen has explained his reasons to overlooked Lorient midfielder Innocent Bonke from his 32 man provisional roaster that will prosecute the forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers Playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana. 

Innocent who has been consistent for the Ligue 1 side in the ongoing league season was omitted by Eguavoen while Etebo Oghenekaro and Ogenyi Onazi were considered ahead of him. 

In an exclusive video interview with Elegbete TV, Eguavoen stated that he could not extend the invitation to Bonke because he has not watched him play closely. According to him can not invite players that he has not watched or talked with. 

He stressed further that he selected Etebo ahead of innocent Bonke because he has been in the national team and had close interactions with him as well.
