Juventus hit the ground running after grabbing two morale-boosting wins in a row against Verona and Sassuolo, with new signing Dusan Vlahovic being denied by Marco Sportiello three minutes in.

The Serbian striker headed just wide following a Weston McKennie cross, and Paulo Dybala failed to hit the target after a brilliant individual move outside the box.

Atalanta registered no shots on goal despite making 10 in total throughout the first half. Wojciech Szczesny denied Marten de Roon just after the break, while neither Dybala nor Vlahovic managed to find the back of the net before the hour mark.

The hosts were the team to finally break the deadlock with 13 minutes to go through Malinovskyi, who unleashed a thunderous strike from outside the box to beat Szczesny and open the scoring.

Atalanta missed a huge chance to put the game to bed through Hans Hateboer, whose shot from close range crashed against the crossbar, while Juventus looked toothless in attack despite making a couple of attacking-minded changes.

When everything indicated that Atalanta would clinch all three points, Danilo headed home from a Dybala corner kick to level the game two minutes into stoppage time.

Following Danilo’s late equaliser, Juventus stay ahead of Atalanta in the Serie A table. The Old Lady are fourth with 46 points, followed by La Dea with 44
