Aaron Ramsdale made headlines on Saturday after delivering what many have dubbed the best save of the season. This came after he deflected a free kick from James Maddison that appeared to be heading towards the net. Is he, however, the goalkeeper with the most saves thus far? 

Leeds’ Illan Meslier leads the way with 36 saves so far.

They have had a weak defense, which could explain why they have given up a lot of shots. 

Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel has made 35 saves this season. He’s also had a bad defense, so he’s taken a lot of shots. 

He has, however, been terrific. Norwich’s Tim Krul has made 34 saves, followed by Wolverhampton’s Jose Sa, who has made 31 saves. 

Crystal Palace’s Vincente Guaita, Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, and Burnley’s Nick Pope have all made 29 saves. 

United’s Dagid De Gea and Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez have both made 28 saves thus far.
