Manchester United Legendary defender, Rio Ferdinand has been a great member of the club ever since he retired. All his words on the media revolve around the club and how they need to be back as Champions.

After yesterday’s UCL match against Young Boys, Rio got few things to say about the Club, he specifically fired on a shot at Ronaldo for Standing together with Ole to instruct the United players. According to Rio, he would have told Ronaldo to sit down if he happened to be the coach. Well said Rio, but thanks goodness that you were not the coach there. I must admit that Rio clearly misinterpreted Ronaldo’s passion to be a disrespect to Ole. If we are gonna state the obvious, Manchester United players get a bit cool because no one is shouting at them. They get so relaxed and have no hunger in moving the ball forward when they are being pegged down by the opponents. 

A sickening mentality that has dragged the club down the trench for the last few years. Ole yelled at the players while they were down against Villareal in the Europa League final and we saw the response that led to an equalizer. There is a natural impulse control from outside the pitch, right from the coaching stands, the noise can inject the players to play good football. I bet if Rio was in the Portuguese team that won the 2016 Euros, they would have lost the final all in the name of being silent. CR7 treats every game as a final, when you treat every game as a must to win you are bound to succeed. 

What the Portuguese Captain did last night was simply to give his support for his team from the Bench. If you can’t condone a loss, you have to shout it in the ears of your teammates to play better football. Coaches come down to the level of their players to get the deserved results, Ole needs more support from his players to work things out in that team. For me, I believe Ronaldo was being passionate to get a win last night and not in a bid to disregard his coach, Rio shouldn’t drive this out of the regular proportion.
