Tottenham have confirmed the signing of right back Emerson Royal from Barcelona on a five-year contract

The Brazil international completed a medical on Tuesday morning after the clubs had earlier reached an agreement over a €30million (£25.7m) fee.
In a statement, Tottenham said: ‘We are delighted to announce the signing of Emerson Royal from Barcelona, subject to international clearance and a work permit.
‘The right back has signed a contract with us until 2026 and will wear the No12 shirt.’
Emerson, who was not included in the Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, will travel to London from Spain later this week.
Emerson has only just returned to the club after a three-season spell on loan with Real Betis where he excelled under Manuel Pellegrini.
He had settled in well at Barca and his departure will come as a blow to Ronald Koeman who is struggling to assess what squad he will have left.
Tottenham still hope to offload Serge Aurier with Lille among those interested.
They sold Moussa Sissoko to Watford last week which followed the departures of Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela.
Tottenham had tried to negotiate a deal for 18-year-old midfielder Ilaix Moriba but he decided to join Red Bull Leipzig.
