Manchester United would face a trip to Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils would head into the game looking to bounce back from their 1-1 stalemate with Southampton, whilst Wolves were looking to pick up their first points of the season.

In the end, despite Wolves having the better chances on the day, it would be Man United who picked up all three points thanks to a Mason Greenwood effort:

Following Sunday’s game, Man United are now unbeaten in 28 away games – the longest record in English football history:

Varane on Maguire

The clash with Wolves would also see Raphael Varane make his first appearance in a United shirt.

The Frenchman started the tie and would take to the Premier League like a duck to water.

Varane was a calm presence at the back, who also pushed forward to break up attacks and also join in build-up play, as shown above when he sets up Mason Greenwood for his goal.

Now, after making his Man United debut, Varane has been speaking about Harry Maguire.

When asked how he feels the partnership with Maguire is going to develop, Varane stated:

“Very good. He’s a good player. We had good communication, that’s very important, and the same spirit: to fight and to win the game.”
