Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is close to agreeing a new contract with the North London club.

The 28-year-old had been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer and was reportedly close to joining Roma, now managed by Jose Mourinho.

However, Mikel Arteta recently confirmed that the midfielder would not be leaving the club this summer.
