Chelsea faced Burnley in today’s Premier League fixture. Thomas Tuchel side were looking to extend their lead at the top of the league table with a win over relegation threatened Burnley in today’s match. Burnley have got just one win in all matches played so far this season and were no match against Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Chelsea ended up recording their second draw of the season after Burnley came back and snatched an equalizer late in the second half of the match. Burnley had a brilliant start to the second half and it earned them a point.
Match Analysis
Chelsea started brilliantly in the opening minutes of the match, they were completely dominant and created more chances of scoring in those opening minutes of the first half. Chelsea had chances after chances but Nick Pope was there to deny Chelsea the lead in the opening minutes. Chelsea eventually took the lead after Kai Havertz scored a brilliant header from Reece James’ assist.
It was a third assist this season for Reece James, the Englishman now has seven goal involvements in all games played for Chelsea in the Premier League so far this season. Kai Havertz grabbed his first home game of the season and his second goal in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea kept pushing for more goals in the second half but Burnley stepped up a bit and made it difficult for Chelsea to get behind their defense. Burnley eventually scored an equalizer after Matej Vydra scored from Jay Rodriguez’ assist. It was a well built goal from Burnley and Chelsea never saw it coming.

Chelsea failed to extend their lead still further with a win against Burnley, they failed to hold on to their narrow lead till the final whistle went off.
