Franck Kessie has insisted he want to stay at AC Milan ‘forever’ despite reported links to Liverpool and Tottenham.

The Ivorian’s contract with the Italian giants is set to expire next summer in 2022, leading to speculation that Premier League sides including Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are interested in pouncing for him.

But Kessie told Gazzetta dello Sport that he sees his long-term future at the San Siro, and is keen to negotiate the terms of a new deal once he gets back from the Tokyo Olympics.

He said: ‘I’m proud to have chose Milan and it is not my intention to leave. Indeed, I want to stay forever.’
‘When I come back from the Olympics, I’ll fix everything.
‘I just want Milan. Sporting director Paolo Maldini knows my thoughts.

‘I want to be the ‘President’ of Milan for life.’
Kessie, who signed permanently for the Rossoneri in 2019 after a two-year loan, has just enjoyed the most productive season of his career.
Last campaign, he scored 14 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions, including six assists, as Stefano Pioli’s side finished second in Serie A behind bitter rivals Inter Milan.
