Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos admits he didn’t enjoy his loan with Arsenal – off the pitch.

Ceballos spent two seasons with Arsenal, but has now returned to Madrid for the coming season.

He told AS: “I’m starting with the worst… The remoteness and how difficult it is to enjoy your family on a day-to-day basis, something that is very important to me. The best is the football that is breathed in England.

“The stadiums are full, the fans respect you … Matches are played every few days and the stands are always full, when you could go to the grounds, of course. That is essential for someone who likes football.”

Asked about playing in England again, Ceballos added: “Yes, I do not rule it out. It’s a league that I like, people who really like football would be motivated to play it. If you don’t get to play there you can get stuck.”
