Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is now a doubt for Japan’s World Cup game against Costa Rica.

The Asian nation claimed a memorable win against Germany in their first group stage clash of the tournament.
They will be hoping to all but seal qualification for the next stage with a win over Costa Rica.
Tomiyasu did play against Germany, despite having injury concerns in the lead up to the tournament.
However, Kyodo News now states that Tomiyasu and teammate Hiroki Sakai are both doubts for their next game.
As they both play as a right-back, their absence would lead to Kawasaki Frontale defender Miki Yamane getting the nod against Costa Rica.
