Former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello has urged fans to be patient with Charles de Ketelaere.

Capello has no doubts about the summer signing, but says he will need time to adjust.

“For me he is a player of great quality and he will become important, because he makes plays of another level,” said Capello.

“De Ketelaere, as you read, prefers to play centre forward. On the right I didn’t dislike him. Maybe he doesn’t have that desire to track back.

“But if he improves in these things he will become a top midfielder. He has physique, stamina, technique and can beat his man. But in terms of dribbling he has to improve and, above all, convince himself.”
