Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and technical director Fabio Paratici are in Italy to hold a crucial transfer summit as the club map out their summer recruitment strategy.

Numerous sources claim there is now little concern behind the scenes at Spurs that Conte will take the drastic step of walking away this summer after the club qualified for the Champions League.
Conte and Paratici are currently in Turin and will convene to discuss the club’s transfer plans at length amid a sense the former Chelsea boss will be in charge next season.

Conte is understood to have arrived in Italy at the start of the week for his summer break. Paratici was in Italy in Monday but returned to London before heading back to his homeland to meet head coach Conte.
Tottenham have already started making firm enquiries for players as they look to fully back Conte’s vision amid concerns he could leave the club if he was not convinced by their commitment to strengthening the squad.
Conte wants a new centre back; Sportsmail understands Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is the club’s first-choice candidate in that position. Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Red Bull Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol are alternatives.
Tottenham will complete a deal for Fraser Forster on a free transfer. The goalkeeper, who leaves Southampton next month, is understood to have already completed his medical. He will provide back-up to No 1 Hugo Lloris.
Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence, who is on loan at Nottingham Forest, is of interest to Tottenham as is Eintracht Frankfurt’s wing-back Filip Kostic.
The future of Inter winger Ivan Perisic is also being monitored. Wolves forward Adama Traore, who snubbed Tottenham for a loan to Barcelona in January, is re-emerging as a target.
It is also understood Allan Saint-Maximin is of interest to Tottenham, but getting him off Newcastle will prove difficult. Spurs are also monitoring Richarlison’s future at Tottenham.
Conte and Paratici will also look to offload a number of the club’s fringe players this summer.
Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Sergio Reguilon Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon are among the players facing uncertain futures.
