Mohamed Salah has admitted there are no guarantees he will commit his future to Liverpool when his contract expires next summer.

The Egyptian has developed into one of the best players in the world since joining from Roma five years ago, a bonafide Kop hero and a crucial cog in Jurgen Klopp’s side which is currently on course for an unprecedented quadruple.
Salah’s future, however, appears surprisingly unclear with the impasse over a new contract still to be resolved after months of negotiations.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, the 29-year-old revealed remaining at Anfield was far from a foregone conclusion but insisted money would not be a motivating factor should he decide to leave.
‘I don’t know, I have one year left,’ he said.
‘I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract it’s not everything about the money at all. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly. I have one year left and the fans know what I want.’

Salah, who has won six major trophies with Liverpool, insisted his preferred option was staying on Merseyside.
‘This club means a lot to me – I’ve enjoyed my football here more than anywhere, I gave the club everything and everybody saw that,’ he continued.
‘I’ve had a lot of unbelievable moments here, winning trophies, individual goals, individual trophies. It’s like a family here.’

Asked whether speculations over his future may be a source of distraction at such a delicate stage of the season, the current Premier League top scorer replied: ‘I’m not worried, I don’t let myself worry about something. The season didn’t finish yet, so let’s finish it in the best possible way – that’s the most important thing. Then in the last year, we’re going to see what’s going to happen.’
