Manchester United outcast Andreas Pereira’s proposed permanent move to Flamengo has reportedly collapsed.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Brazilian side on loan last summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by then-United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He helped his new team to the final of the Copa Libertadores last year and was impressing coaching staff with his form in his homeland.

Reports circulated in February that Flamengo were keen to make the deal permanent, with a verbal agreement between the two clubs reached.
However, Brazilian outlet IG Esporte state that that the club is pulling out of a deal, due to two primary reasons.

The first is a decline in form from Pereira himself – he has been on the bench in recent weeks and since the turn of the year hasn’t started regularly.

The second is due to legal complications regarding a 75 per cent part-ownership of the player, which has seemingly put the Brazilian side off a deal, amid problems between the club and the Central Bank.
Pereira has made 75 appearances for United in all competitions since making his first-team debut back in March 2015.
In addition to Flamengo, he has also had loan spells at Granada, Valencia and Lazio during his career.
