Jurgen Klopp has hailed Jarrod Bowen as an ‘unbelievable’ player ahead of Liverpool’s clash with West Ham – and also reserved praise for David Moyes.

In-form winger Bowen has scored eight goals and picked up 10 assists so far this season, leading to interest from the Anfield heavyweights, according to reports.

And at his pre-match press conference today, the subject of the forward was brought up, with Klopp effusive in his description of his potential target.

‘Bowen. What a player he became, unbelievable,’ he told reporters.

The Evening Standard have claimed that West Ham are keen for their talisman to commit to another deal, despite his current terms having three-and-a-half years left.

His team-mate Michail Antonio has called for Bowen to receive an England call-up, and it appears increasingly likely the 25-year-old will be involved in the near future.

Bowen will prove crucial in his side’s hopes of ending Moyes’ hoodoo at Anfield.

Moyes has failed to clinch victory at the ground in 17 attempts, and Klopp has jokingly said he hopes the dismal record is extended for another game.

However, he also waxed lyrical about his opposite number.

He added: ‘Moyes never won at Anfield? Long may it continue.

‘I am sure he was close a few times. I am really pleased for him, he’s a nice colleague.

‘After a successful spell at Everton, he is making smart transfers at West Ham. They’re a strong side.’

West Ham sit in fifth spot ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, and find themselves just two points adrift of Manchester United in fourth.

Liverpool, meanwhile, trail leaders Manchester City by six points, but may be able to close the gap to three provided they down the Hammers.
