Arsenal are reportedly sounding out alternative options – including that of Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak – as doubts emerge over their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic.

The Gunners have been linked with Fiorentina hitman Vlahovic throughout the January transfer window, yet latest reports state that the Serbian is not keen on a move to the Premier League.
As such, Arsenal are actively exploring elsewhere and Sweden international Isak is on their shortlist, according to The Athletic.

The report details that 22-year-old Isak has a release clause – which is said to be around £75m (€90m) – but the north London club would attempt to negotiate a cheaper deal.
The Gunners bought Thomas Partey to the club in October 2020 after they met his release clause at Atletico Madrid.
The report adds that Arsenal have increasing doubts about a move for 21-year-old Vlahovic not due to Fiorentina’s demands, but rather due to the player and his representatives.

His apparent desire not to play in England, and a lack of communication between Vlahovic’s agent and Fiorentina, is making a deal less and less likely.

Vlahovic has scored 49 goals in 108 appearances for Fiorentina in all competitions, including 20 in 24 games this season.
Fiorentina want Vlahovic to sign a contract extension, with his current deal ending in June 2023.
His goalscoring form attracted interest from Arsenal, who are looking to bolster their attacking options given former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently out of favour with manager Mikel Arteta and Alexandre Lacazette will be out of contract in the summer.
Isak, meanwhile, has scored only four LaLiga goals in 18 appearances so far this season.
