South Korea manager Paulo Bento was sent off for his furious protests aimed at referee Anthony Taylor after his side fell to an agonising 3-2 defeat to Ghana at the World Cup.

Bento angrily remonstrated with Taylor after being aggrieved at the English official blowing for full-time before his team could take a corner, denying them the chance to equalise in a thrilling Group H clash.
The Portuguese boss appeared to return to Taylor even after receiving his marching orders.

At the Education City Stadium, Ghana put themselves in a commanding position at the break with goals through Mohammed Salisu and Mohammed Kudus.
However, Cho Gue-sung’s brace made it look like South Korea might get something from the game, only for Ajax midfielder Kudus to score the winner with 22 minutes remaining of the regulation 90.
South Korea had a corner at the end of ten minutes of stoppage time, but Taylor blew before they had the chance to take it, instigating Bento’s protests.

However, Taylor was not impressed with the confrontation which took place at the end of the game, and sent the Portuguese boss off.
The 53-year-old former Portuguese international took charge of South Korea in 2018, and is now set to miss the match against his native country if he is suspended from the touchline for Friday’s final group stage match.
South Korea have just one point from their two fixtures so far, and sit bottom of the group ahead of Uruguay’s late kick-off against Portugal in the other fixture in Group H.
Taylor became a FIFA-listed referee in 2013, and is one of six English officials on the list for the 2022 World Cup, alongside referee Michael Oliver, and assistants Simon Bennett, Gary Beswick, Stuart Bert and Adam Nunn.
